It finally happened, after 15 years of preaching and working in various churches. God told Brother Randy Pace it was time to start laying the framework for a new and different type of church.
In late March of 1992, while working on a research assignment in Austin, Texas, he received the name of this new church, Family Worship Center. Over the next week, God revealed information concerning other specifics regarding Family Worship Center.
When Brother Randy returned from Austin, he had the name, location, format, written Vision, and a framework for the Constitution and By-laws of this soon to be organization. The summer of 1992 was very hectic with Brother Randy working a full time job, writing constantly to get the Constitution and By-laws ready so the legal requirements could begin, finishing up his Bachelors Degree at Western Kentucky University, and preaching and teaching when the opportunities presented themselves.
On Sunday, October 4, 1992, Family Worship Center conducted it's first meeting at the Best Western Motel in Shepherdsville, Kentucky. There were 23 people in attendance that morning.
We are now in a real church building at 217 Salt Well Road in Shepherdsville. We are a growing, family oriented church and invite you to come and grow with us.
